How do I monitor my network data usage?
The eero app shows how much data each device or profile uses on your network. All eero customers can view weekly usage and live data usage. eero Plus subscribers can view daily and monthly usage with up to 3 months of history.
Note: Data usage (live and historical) isn't available when your eero network is in bridge mode.
What's the difference between uploaded and downloaded data?
Your data usage graphs show the total amount of data consumed on your network as the sum of uploaded and downloaded data over time. Upload and download amounts will vary by device based on how it's used.
Upload is data sent from your device, like sending emails, posting to social media, or sharing files. Download is data received by your device, like streaming videos, receiving emails, or loading web pages.
How do I view historical data usage?
Historical data usage shows how much data your devices have uploaded and downloaded over time. This data includes internet (WAN) traffic only. It doesn't include traffic between devices on the same network.
To view historical data usage, tap the Activity tab in the eero app.
All eero customers can view 1 week of usage data
eero Plus subscribers can view up to 3 months of usage data with daily, weekly, or monthly views
You can view historical data usage by device or by profile.
Note: When viewing data usage by profile, any device connected to your network during the selected timeframe that hasn't been added to a profile will be listed under Other Devices.
How do I view live data usage?
Live data usage shows real-time upload and download speeds for a single device. This can help you identify when a device is using more bandwidth than expected.
To view live data usage, tap a device in the Devices tab. Live data usage is available to all eero customers and refreshes every 5 seconds. Because data refreshes constantly, numbers may fluctuate. Streaming services deliver data in bursts, so a device may show as idle between bursts even while actively streaming.
